Noonday Notes

Volume 2, Issue 9

July 10th, 2026

This week I've been thinking about Barnabas again. In Acts 4:36 Luke tells us how Joseph (Barnabas) sold a field of his and gave the money to the apostles. In that same passage we learn that he is called Barnabas by the apostles because it means “son of encouragement”. Before Paul became the Paul we know and love today, it was Barnabas who knew his testimony and believed it, who vouched for Paul when people thought he was talking a bunch of nonsense (turns out he wasn’t). Barnabas saw something worth nurturing and helped create the conditions for it to grow. You my friend, you are Barnabas.

Not a week goes by without someone replying to this newsletter, sending a text, volunteering, making a donation, or providing support and encouragement. And while these reflections are often the most personal part of Noonday Farms, this mission is not about me, it’s about all of us. Community is our core.

So community, without further ado, let’s take a look at what we have done together in just one year.
